Evola Music of Canton has been our host since 1996. In that time, they have been extremely supportive of our programs, helping us become a Kindermusik Top Program. The Evola family has decided to revise their business model and will no longer offer lessons or classes. We are super excited to move to Plymouth PARC, an amazing complex for arts and recreation organizations. This is an incredible opportunity to grow and expand our program and offering, not to mention working with some awesome neighbors.
We are committed to a classroom that is clean and healthy for your family. Hand sanitizer, tissues, and anti-bacterial wipes are always available. Areas for changing diapers are located in the restroom. Masks and other COVID-19 precautions are based on Government mandates and are subject to change.
If you or your child is sick, please stay home to get better. You/your child should be fever-free for 24 hours and have no contagious characteristics (rash, drainage, etc.) We provide makeup class opportunities Click HERE for a download with more information
We provide a mix of online, outdoor, and studio options. As an added bonus, online class tuition is per family. Online classes are hosted on the password-protected Zoom platform and are not recorded. Families will be admitted from the waiting room. Please do not share links with anyone unless approved by instructor. Please do not take and or post pictures of online participants.
Generally we cap our studio classes at 10-12 families. Once our new studio is complete, we will have the capacity to host 12-15 students. Outdoor and online classes are capped at 15 families.
We have 7 different levels for ages 0-7, including a mixed age class for multiple ages. Mixed Age, Foundations, Level 1 and Level 2 classes are parent/child programs. Levels 3, 4, & 5 invite families to join the last 15 minutes. Currently we offer Mixed Age, Foundations, and Levels 1 & 2. All levels will be available this fall.
In 1996, Miss Karen started Kindermusik parent child music classes in Canton with 2 classes and a handful of students. Today we have a team of 4 teachers, teach 12-16 classes a week with up to 120 students. We are proud to be a Kindermusik Top program.
Music matters. Our teachers are dedicated to bringing the joy, discovery, and magic of music into the life of every child. We are committed to changing the world, one child at a time. Music offers more benefits than sports, dance, and gymnastics. Music lasts a lifetime.
Our teachers all come from music backgrounds. We all have gone through Kindermusik training and continue our professional development in the areas of music and child development. Miss Karen has also worked for Kindermusik International as a coach and curriculum writer.
Ms. Judy is a former General Music and Band Teacher at Warren Consolidated Schools. She discovered Kindermusik when bringing her first grandchild to classes and fell in love with the program. She started her own programs in West Bloomfield before joining our teaching team. In addition to spending time with her grandchildren, Miss Judy studied Church Music handbells at Concordia University Wisconsin and is active in handbell choirs and workshops around the area. In her spare time, she enjoys sewing, gardening, and helping others through volunteer work.
